Genital aesthetics (Vaginoplasty)

Congenital abnormalities on women’s vulva-vagina areas and at birth can be restored with genital cosmetic surgery. This area’s psychological issues have an impact on marital relationships and hinder communication. can’t be openly discussed, which causes communication walls to develop and harms the connection.

Women’s perceptions of their genitalia as unattractive can lead to negative effects on their sex lives, including confusion, shame, and shyness. To correct vaginal malformations that frequently cause issues and give patients the appearance they want, genital cosmetic techniques can be employed.

How is cosmetic genital surgery carried out?

Different techniques can be used to correct genital abnormalities that are unsightly depending on where the problem is most obvious. The most popular procedures are vaginoplasty, pubic lift, labiaplasty (labia majora reduction), and labia minora reduction.

How is labia minora reduction administered?

Labia minora of the vagina can be bigger than normal or loose in some women. Genital aesthetic surgery frequently administered to people with such problems is a surgery called Labiaplasty. In this operation which can be administered under local anesthesia in 30 minutes first minor lips are anaesthetized and then labia minora is reduced so that it will not get loose between the labia majora. Stiches which will resolve in time are used in the surgery.

What happens before surgery to recover?

The labia minora procedure lasts 30 minutes. After the procedure, patients can leave the hospital in 1-2 hours. Antibiotics and medicines are administered to patients. After 24 hours, the patient can take a shower and resume their social and professional lives the next day. Before one week at the earliest, physical exertion is not recommended. In 2-3 weeks, the stitches will fall out, allowing the patient to engage in sexual activity.
